That vivid and brutal image of the Northern Slavic pagans that we have now, unfortunately, is just a well crafted fairy tale, originally created by the colonizers with the purpose of demonizing and discrediting these very "crude" pagans. And then (in the 20th century) this surrogate idea was happily picked up by neo-pagans and nationalists of all communities. Without such complex ideas and chimeras, it is impossible to justify the colonial crime and barbaric behavior of the "progressive" representatives of humanity 😸 In any case, I am glad to feel a connection with many peoples: the Finno-Ugrians, the Turkic and Germanic tribes who took a significant part in the formation of my gene pool 😅 All these peoples left a certain mark on me and I periodically hear echoes of their memories, plunging my mind's focus into visions of days gone by...
