Happy 4th of July (it's an American holiday here that we celebrate with fireworks, bbq, and sunshine)! I kicked off the long weekend by doing an 8 mile hike down to this lake. It was gorgeous and I managed to avoid the crowds. Yey!!! How are you celebrating (if you are in the US?)

Did you know you can float effortlessly in the Dead Sea? As a terrible swimmer, I was delighted to experience this. Here I put some mud on, which apparently is very good for the skin? They sell the mud in the US for a lot of money 😆

I'll be honest, I'm a bit sad that this will be my last post of NZ. I could talk about it for another month. I didn't even share all of the yummy lamb I had, or the wine in Wanaka, or the wonderful breakfast many Airbnb hosts served me. Obviously, I had an amazing 4 weeks there. So many firsts I experienced 🥰🥰 Here is a photo of a beautiful waterfall up at Arthur's Pass, called Devil's Punchbowl.

Stayed at a farm for a night. The owner showed me her land and animals, and I got to ride around on her tractor. It was a bit rainy, and I found these sheep huddled up. I'd like to think they were plotting for world domination. The rain brought some snow up in the mountains and I woke up to this gorgeous view, and the drive to my next destination was absolutely gorgeous.
