Added 2025-01-25 18:01:41 +0000 UTCI’ve had a hard week. Too much loss to hold. Lifelong dreams have crumbled to ash. Someone I needed—desperately needed—in a role only they could fill, is gone. I’ve lost faith in my ability to choose what’s good for me, what’s right. My favorite cat, Tink, slipped away last night. She was tied to my favorite person—someone I’ve also lost, not to death, but to someone else’s needs & attention.
But tonight & tomorrow, I still have to dance at Xcess in Evansville, IN. 9 PM to 3 AM. After this weekend, I’m leaving for Florida for two weeks to be with friends, to focus on my upcoming projects, & to escape this brutal cold. I really can’t afford to back out of this weekend—I need the money, badly.
So, if you like me, if you care about me, if you want to see me get through this… I hope you’ll come spend some time with me at the bar. I need the company, the energy, the warmth of people who care. & yeah, I definitely fucking need the money. Ha. So, bring that too.
I hate sounding like such a sad sack, but I’ve been completely gutted since I listened to my best cat take her last breath over the phone. I’m grateful I got to see her recently, to sit with her awhile. But it’s been a heavy, heavy week.
