My husband is a BIG bourbon/whiskey guy. Has well over 200 bottles and always looking for something new or hard to get. This Elijah Craig 18yr bourbon is one bottle that has eluded him for years. He actually was able to get ahold of one a few years ago but one of his best friends needed a "special bottle" to give as a gift so my husband sold that one to him. He has never seen a bottle of this in the wild since.
Well there just happened to be a brand new liquor store opening today just minutes from my office and they had been promoting having alot of allocated (aka hard to find) bottles available throughout the day. My husband works a job that he can't just pick up and leave anytime he wants so he was unable to go check it out himself.
Ironically enough the guy he sold that other bottle to texted him and said "I heard that new store has a number of Elijah Craig 18yr bottles." So my husband messaged me "can you get out for a few and go look?" I have much more flexibility then he does so I ran right over and sure enough they had several bottles. He tells me this is a bottle that you never see on a shelf as it's somewhat rare.
So that's the mid-day update complete with a gratuitous panty shot. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.
