Added 2023-05-03 23:39:05 +0000 UTCI was filling out my paperwork for a new doctor that can help me with my conditions that are more rare as well as the other diseases involving Lyme disease and finally get formally diagnosed and treated the comorbidities of EDS that every other doctor I've been to has no knowledge of.
They don't take any insurance it is an out-of-pocket expense. This is a doctor that can physically help me yet I won't be able to afford it. My new patient consultation would be $3,000. The post consultation visit is $1,500. And every other visit after that for a follow-up is $660 per hour.
It's kind of devastating people like me can never afford their health unless they're millionaires. Yet we can't physically afford to go on work like a normal human being yet they expect us to somehow be able to afford this and if we dare try to make enough money just to take care of ourselves they're going to take everything away that we need to be able to take care of ourselves and back to square one. This is so frustrating knowing that I can get help but I can't do it because I simply can't afford it.
