The most common mistake I see in subs is a misguided pursuit of pleasure, or more accurately, searching in the wrong places.

Scale is the building block of live. The famous occult saying, 'as above so below' is a perfect statement to give us clarity in these matters. From the scale of the universe and the stars within it, down to the scale of the bacterial and viral biomes that cover nearly all matter; we exist in a universe, contained within it infinite smaller universes.

While the rules change within different levels of scale, we find the same patterns and sets of data at all different points.

"What the f-ck are you on about Goddess." I hear you thinking now. "How does this have anything to do with my kinks and desires?"

We have this common idea that our fantasies must exist in the most grand of scales. The more logistics, the more complexities, the more accurately that we create a moment that represents our inner desires, the more pleasure we feel.

In my experience, this could not be further from the truth. Show me someone that has met their heroes, or show me someone that fulfilled their ultimate lifelong fantasy, and I'll show you someone that is now disappointed and dysphoric.

Break your fantasy down into bite sized chunks, and evaluate the nature of it at different levels. Maybe you dream of entering a full-time committed FLR. You crave a complete change of pace and life, entering an all-encompassing fantasy that radically alters the nature of your reality.

Rather than pursuing this massive goal, break it down into scale. Evaluate each of the smaller components. The feelings, the sensations, the ideas, the moments it would bring. When you eat a meal, savor all the individual flavors and textures, rather than having the most extravagant meal.

Learn to get the same pleasure from the smaller, more simple bits, and explore all those microorganisms have to offer you. Pace yourself. Expand and grow and learn on a small scale, and over time you'll realize you're so overwhelmed with how vast each of those little places are, that you no longer feel so fixated with getting to the 'big fantasy.'

There is soooo much more pleasure to be had approaching life in this manner. Beyond just kink itself.
