One scar is from gallbladder surgery, another is from when rib was taken to help the structure of my once broken nose, stretch marks from weight gain, loose skin from rapid weight loss. Body positivity to me is being kind to your body, loving it for its capabilities, resilience, and strength. I don’t have to love my scars, but I do respect them, and their ability to heal over time.
